Xena has been shown as a puppy, but sadly never continued her show career.
Xena has dark eyes, a strong headpiece, topline and excellent ball drive :)
She has been a great Mother to the babies...but methinks she is also glad she doesn't have to feed them any longer...at 5 weeks..their teeth are rather sharp.

I collect Beanie Babies and have a Doberman/Rottie beanie baby positioned on top of my computer monitor...that's until she spotted it one day and made sure that it stayed with her in the whelping box.  So, the tags are gone now, and the beanie is well loved by the puppies...a silent puppy!

Ok, on to the puppies...

2 boys, 2 girls
Born: Late July 20, 1999

I have enjoyed raising this litter, the puppies are extremely confident, very sound, very drivey and consistent.  The puppies are taken on short walks on our property daily, they don't realize this at the moment, but instinctively know to follow.  The puppies are being raised on a raw diet and are absolutely thriving.

Conformation wise, the puppies all have wonderful toplines, rear and front angluation, colour is the best--rust brown markings, and dark, dark brown eyes.  It's too early to tell mouth pigmentation but it is coming in a dark rose.

Puppy # 1


 
 
 

This is 'Faith', at just over 3 weeks old.  This little one and her sister rule the litter.
Conformation wise, she is very correct....and has a wonderfully expressive head for her age.
Temperament wise, these 2 girls have very good drive and a willingness to do anything you ask of them.




 
 

This is 'Millie', a very determined girl at just over 3 weeks old.  This little one and her sister rule the litter.
Conformation wise, she is very correct, dark eyes as the rest of her littermates, smaller ears, backskull is very pronounced, darker sooty markings on her muzzle and chin area.  I think this girl will have a bit wider head.
Temperament wise, these 2 girls have very good drive and a willingness to do anything you ask of them.




 
 

This is 'Samson', at just over 3 weeks old. 

The 2 boys in this litter have to be the sweetest boy babies I have ever had.  This little boy is extremely smart, very confident and an absolute lovebug.

Conformation wise, he is the tallest of his littermates, has a beautiful, straight topline, adequate angles in the rear and wonderful front angulation.   This boy reminds me of his grandfather, Aiko.

This is 'Siris', at just over 3 weeks old.


 

Pictured above is 'Siris', at just over 7 weeks old. 
Again, the boys are very sweet but have that balance of willingness to work and to love.

Conformation wise, he is very correct, dark eyes as the rest of his littermates, when stacked, his back is a bit longer than his littermates, but his rear angulation is very good.

Overall, we are quite pleased with the puppies.  The puppies will have their temperament tests at the age of 6-7 weeks by an evaluator.

Socialization wise, the puppies are constantly in contact with our adult dogs who all take turns trying to mother the puppies, in addition to kids, and soon-to-be frequent car rides.
